Another example of how conventional agriculture seriously makes us sick...

For Ulli Elixmann, it all started quite harmlessly in the garden: While pruning roses, he suddenly noticed that the strength in his right hand was leaving him. What initially seemed like a temporary weakness turned out to be a dramatic turn in his life: Parkinson's.

As a gardener, Elixmann was regularly in contact with chemical pesticides for years – often without a protective suit or mask, as was still the case back then. 🧑🏼‍🌾 Today we know that there is a scientifically recognized connection between pesticides and the development of Parkinson's disease. There is increasing evidence that long-term exposure to these dangerous chemicals significantly increases the risk of developing Parkinson's disease. 🫢

Parkinson's is a chronic, progressive disease in which the dopamine-producing nerve cells in the brain die. This leads to disrupted communication between the brain and muscles, resulting in slowed movement, muscle stiffness, and tremors.

The Medical Expert Commission has now the "Parkinson's Syndrome from Pesticides" officially recognized as an occupational disease. An important, but for some, too late realization.

The case of Ulli Elixmann strikingly illustrates how dangerous the use of pesticides is for health. Not only are the food products we consume affected, but also the people who produce them face immense risks. The rising number of Parkinson's disease cases in connection with environmental toxins raises more urgent questions: How can we better protect our farmers? 🌾

To ensure protection, one thing is clear: It is high time to take action! The way we produce food must be revolutionized. 🌿 Not only for our own health but also to protect the environment and the people who work for our food.

The future of food production lies in change – through innovations like indoor farming we offer solutions that harm neither the environment nor people. 🌱 With our Raumgartens we are committed to a sustainable, healthy future of nutrition. We do not use additives, our plants grow 100% pesticide-free. We watch them grow and can consume them with a clear conscience, because we know exactly what is in them. 🥗 This should not be an exception!

"Unfortunately, we are confronted with news like this every day, but you encourage us to keep going! It is time for a new kind of agriculture, one that harms no one. 🙌🏻 💚"
